I’m Orange Meerkat — an Afro House DJ based in Cork, Ireland. My sets draw from South African House, tribal percussion and melodic grooves. Music rooted in African heritage, built for dancefloors. Whether it lands on a festival stage or a late-night club, the feeling is the same — warm, hypnotic and hard to shake.

Biography
Orange Meerkat is an Afro House DJ based in Ireland, originally from Hungary. It started with underground radio — late night shows, progressive house, techno — and gradually everything pointed toward Afro House. That’s where the melodic side and the rhythm side finally met. Today the sets are deeper, the sound is sharper, and the dancefloor is the only place that matters.
Back in the early days, Orange Meerkat was spinning tunes on a local underground radio station. Over time, those late-night shows became a platform for him to share his deep passion for rhythm and melody. Through these carefully crafted sets, he connected with listeners and built a loyal community. Even then, it was clear that he had a natural talent for taking people on a musical journey — a skill that still defines his performances today.

Every week I’m digging through SoundCloud and Beatport looking for tracks that feel right — clean in the mix, emotionally solid, and true to the Afro House sound. Genre labels don’t really filter it. If a track moves me and fits the vibe, it’s going in.
I mix harmonically using the Camelot wheel — blending keys to keep the flow natural and open up new moods as the set builds. That’s where the magic happens. The energy shifts, tension builds, and suddenly the dancefloor is somewhere it didn’t expect to be.
